Final date for insuring or making changes in forage production for all the counties listed above.

Final date for making changes in your wheat (which includes durum and khorasan in some counties) coverage for counties considered winter wheat counties such as Carter, Dawson, Prairie, McCone, Richland, Rosebud, Roosevelt, and Valley counties.

Final date for notifying intent to organic farm in the winter wheat counties even if you don't qualify for certification until a future year. If you are in the transitional period of becoming an organic farmer you must identify your production as transitional on your production history form.

Final date for insuring or making changes in your Rangeland coverage in all the counties of Eastern Montana.

Termination date for non payment of forage production

Coming Deadlines this Crop Year:
October 1st - Billing date for most crops in the area - (interest attaches on Nov 1 at the rate of 1.25% per month on the unpaid balance).
October 16th - Forage Production Underwriting and Acreage Report
October 31st - End of Insurance Period for most crops in our area. Last date to turn in loss.
Nov 14th - APH reporting date for winter wheat
Nov 15th - Winter Wheat acreage reports
Nov 30th - Termination date for non payment of wheat & durum in winter wheat counties
Dec 31st - Termination date for non payment of Rangeland Policy
March 15th - Sales Closing date for spring crops & Termination Date for non payment of spring crops for prior year
April 15th - deadline for Rangeland Acreage Reports
May 1 - Sales closing for next year nursery crops.
May 22 - Forage Production acreage report is due May 22 for spring planted acreage following the year of seeding for Alfalfa or Alfalfa Grass Mixture types.
June 30th - Acreage Reporting Date for most spring crops in this area. It is also the last date to increase or decrease your coverage for John Deere Risk Protection's continuous Hail Coverage.
